Breast augmentation

Who is breast augmentation suitable for?

  • For women who want larger breasts.
  • For women whose breasts have shrunk after breastfeeding.
  • For women who want to emphasise their feminine charms.

Medically indicated breast augmentation

  • The implant is inserted under the mammary gland or pectoral muscle.
  • Silicone gel implants are used.
  • Two implant shapes are used for breast augmentation: round (spherical cap shape) and anatomical (drop-shaped profile).
  • It is necessary to undergo a mammological examination before the procedure.

Form of breast augmentation surgery

Duration of hospitalisation 2-4 days. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia.

Method and course of breast augmentation surgery

After the interview with the client, the doctor will determine where and which implant will be placed (under the breast or under the breast muscle) before the procedure itself. In total, the procedure takes about 1 hour. The incision is made either in the crevice under the breasts or on the edge of the areola, exceptionally in the armpit.

Postoperative course after breast augmentation and recommendations

Analgesics are given should the patient complain of pain in the postoperative period. Drains, if used, are most often removed 1 to 2 days after the surgery. After the procedure, it is necessary to wear special elastic underwear, which has essential effects on the overall result of the procedure. Elastic underwear must be worn for at least 4-8 weeks. Sutures are removed approximately 10 to 14 days after the surgery. After the wounds around the breasts have healed, it is necessary to take care of the scars, which must be protected from sunlight for at least 3 months after the procedure (you will discuss the details with your physician). The average recovery time after this procedure is about 3-4 weeks. It is not recommended to do sports for about 4-6 weeks. Wear elastic underwear for a further two months. You will be able to consult your attending physician throughout the postoperative period, who will guide you safely during this period.

Price calculation

This procedure is not covered by health insurance

The total price of the procedure is given by the sum of the price for the procedure itself, for the pair of implants, for general anaesthesia, for hospitalisation according to its length and elastic underwear – see the price list.

Breast augmentation is performed at our facility by all plastic surgeons.
